Matthew McLaughlin has performed in orchestras, chamber ensembles and solo venues all over the world. He attended Oberlin Conservatory for music performance where he performed on the 2009 tour to Los Angeles, the 2011 tour to China and Singapore and the 2013 tour to Carnegie Hall. He spent the past year as 2nd Horn/Associate Principal in the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra in Sarajevo, Bosnia and is now freelancing in the New York City area.
As a composer and arranger, McLaughlin has had his pieces played by the Sarajevo Philharmonic, the Guildhall Horn Ensemble, the Oberlin Horn Ensemble, the Messiah College Horn Ensemble, the West Milford Highlander Wind Ensemble, and the Aristocrats Brass Quintet.
Besides his musical endeavors, Matt enjoys traveling, mountaineering, playing rugby and enjoying the occasional cigar.
